This privacy policy explains how GetFFMI handles basic website analytics and calculator usage. The calculator runs in your browser and does not require an account.

Information We Collect

The calculator runs in your browser. We do not require users to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, account information, or other contact details to use the site.

Analytics

GetFFMI uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, such as which pages and calculators are most useful. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies as part of how it works.

We may track general, non-identifying interaction events such as which calculator you use, unit switches (imperial or metric), copy or share button clicks, start-over actions, and page visits. These events help us understand usage patterns and are not tied to your name or identity.

We use this analytics data to improve the website and the calculators over time. We do not sell personal data.

Your Analytics Choices

Analytics is off by default. When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics, and Google Analytics is not loaded until you choose. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and rejecting is always an option — there is no pre-selected default.

If you accept, we load Google Analytics and remember your choice on this device so you are not asked again. If you reject, Google Analytics is not loaded and we clear its cookies where possible. You can change your choice at any time using the Privacy choices button shown on every page.

Your choice is stored using your browser's local storage on that device, not a cookie. Rejecting analytics does not limit any calculator functionality — every calculator works the same either way.

Calculator Inputs and Body Data

Calculator inputs and results — such as height, weight, sex, body fat percentage, FFMI, and normalized FFMI — are calculated in your browser and are not intentionally sent to our analytics tools.

If you move from one calculator to another (for example, from the Body Fat Calculator to the FFMI Calculator), some values may be passed briefly through the page address to prefill the next calculator for you. This happens locally in your browser, and we remove those values from the visible page address once they have been used, so they do not remain in your browser history.
